Saapunki is constantly terrorizing through various types of electronic media with his tens of “casiodemos”. I ve  been listening them a lot and oh my god, at least the bass player’s view, therewas found one heavier one which is a true diamond that  by the band we could easily decode it into true craprock (s)hit. The only problem is that the day should be instead of 24 hours something like 89 hours to make this wonderful hobby alive ​​ without external feeding, and job losses. I `ve been writing like maniac all summer – catastrophies and disasters in my personal life has inspired me to write shit that is so different. I know that my songs suck, but it is perfect way therapy for me.

We also wrote a wonderful crap rock song 50-50 with Ville called “1star guy with a 5star wife”. You won`t guess what he thought when he came up with that line ;) … Well maybe I could turn it personally upsidedown, but I ll give Ville his right to keep his lines unchanged. ;)

One of the songs to make to demo is called “Better man” and off course, first one we ll gonna put on tape is “Coming SOon”.

Some of the new songs are so sad and pathetic that you wanna cry on the first chord and some are trash metal with deep hatred. that wont ever be published, if other k-boys dont force me. I ve send some pre-demo tapes for K-boys to write some lyrics and change some structures. Yeah,  I truely hope that boys are on the same energy level with me in this, cause if they are, I am fucking sure that we get something done til next spring. I plan that we release single songs on internet and not even dream of putting out cd, cause I am still on bankcrupty of the last one ;) .

For me, still, main point is to get it out on tape and enjoy it myself. If it has 3 listeners or 3000 does not matter so much to me.  Stay tuned and join my facebook page Jarkko A Saapunki. I am open again ;) .

Yhdistetyn maailman cupin voittaja Anssi Koivuranta hyppää mäkivaikuttajakvartetti The Kroisoksen komppikitaristiksi. Alkuperäisjäsenet Ville Kantee, Jarkko Saapunki, Jussi Hautamäki ja Olli Happonen saavat tuta Anssin rokkimeiningin kun bändi esiintyy Kuopiossa Puikkarissa 28.5 sekä 29.5 Suonenjoen Iisrokissa.

”Viime kesänä vedettiin Simerockissa hyvähenkinen show, ja huomasin etteivät nämä jätkät osaa soittaa sen kummemmin kuin minäkään, joten pistin hakemuksen sisään”, toteaa Koivuranta. Näin Koivuranta yhtäkkiä ylennettiin komppikitaran varteen.

”Eipä tässä juuri kerkeä treenaamaan, mutta kuten sanonta kertoo, vain lahjattomat treenaavat”, toteaa Anssi oman leipälajinsa, yhdistetyn harjoittelun lomasta.

Ville Kantee, bändin solisti ja keulakuva on iloinen uudesta keppisankarista:

” Me aletaan olla jo vanhoja, ja fanit tahtoo uutta, tuoretta verta kenttään. Anssi osaa soitella laulujamme ja kunhan se oppii liikkumaan lavalla kuten ladulla, niin sehän on aivan mahdoton babe magnet”, toteaa Kantee, jonka orkesteri julkaisi Panda Eyes debyyttinsä 2009 kesällä. Single Someone to hold on nousi jopa Suomen viralliselle latauslistalle.

Aiemmin keväällä julkistettiin useampi tapahtuma kesälle, mutta orkesteri peruutti ne työkiireisiin vedoten. Samoin kitaristi, primus motor Jarkko Saapunki ilmoitti keskittyvänsä vain työ- ja perheasioihin, ja jättää nk. General Manager- pestinsä bändin takana (www.myspace.com/thekroisos).

”Alkukesän kaksi keikkaa on tosi spesiaalia, me emme tiedä milloin palaamme lavoille tai studioon, mutta taru jatkuu heti kun lentäminen joskus taukoaa ja miehet on tulessa tuottamassa lisää crappia”, sanoo Kantee.

In Kroisos scale, 3 booked weekends for summer festivals etc is a big thing. But as you might have noticed only 2 gigs will be played because of a cancellations by the band.

Band members have changed jobs this spring and already booked gigs were impossible to play – new tasks are so demanding.  Sorry, and you all understand, I know.

Also I , as a player-“general manager” of a band, will quit doing things background with organizing events, selling them, taking economical risks, doing necessary paper work, being in contact with ppl… In future I will concentrate in my family and my job (whatever it will be).

So The Kroisos will go into SILENT-mode from now on. We will play if demand and economical needs collide and most of all, if we have time. No one is selling us and that is the way it goes. No one should sell us now indeed cause we ll cancel anyway. ;) ( and in fact most of the shows sold for summer were offers from festivals…isnt it good?)

We ll record songs if we have time and inspiration. River is dry now and let s wait when it rains again.

Relations inside of the band are good now – we have faced some shitty times too…dont ask me!

Only two gigs this year, and we re happy to play and rehearse on sunday. That is good feeling.

Everything is open.

So to say, The Band will go on forever, but in future I ll be only the bad guitar player in the band,and not the contact person or whatsoever.
